Experts for utilising opportunities in Japanese IT market

Terming Japan as one of the most potential markets for Bangladeshi IT companies, experts at a seminar Monday suggested for adopting effective measures to grab the opportunities.
Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) organised the seminar on Sunday in city, said a BASIS press release Monday.
BCC Executive Director Ashraful Islam chaired the seminar while BASIS Executive director Sami Ahmed moderated the session.
BASIS Vice President M Rashidul Hasan, BASIS Secretary General Uttam Kumar Paul, former BASIS president Mahboob Zaman, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Tokyo University Abu Parvez Shonchoy, MD and CEO of Opus Technology Mohammad Jafar Iqbal, BCC Director Enamul Kabir and Associate Professor of Kyushu University Dr Ashir Ahmed, among others, participated at the discussion.
Over 40 BASIS member companies participated in the seminar.
BASIS has been working towards expanding the local IT businesses to Japan and bringing in Japanese investment for the past few years, according to a news agency.
