RAJUK introduces online services

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakkha (RAJUK) Tuesday brought its Zone-5 comprising Dhanmondi-Lalbagh area under online services, reports BSS. From now on, the people of this area would be able to apply for no objective certificates for land use and approval of building designs online without going to the RAJUK office. They would be able to know about the status of their applications online and via mobile phone SMS. It would be informed online, if any application is approved or rejected. The reasons would be mentioned in detail, if any application is rejected. The online system was formally inaugurated by Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain at a function at RAJUK auditorium in the city, said an official release. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the RAJUK started a new era with the introduction of online service system. This will reduce harassment of people and corruption and ensure transparency and accountability of RAJUK, he added. Though the system is currently available for Zone-5, areas and categories of online services will expand gradually, he added. The minister urged the people to abide the rules of RAJUK and not to alter the designs approved by RAJUK. Presided over by RAJUK Chairman GM Zainal Abedin, the function was also addressed by Housing and Public Works Secretary Mohammad Mainuddin Abdullah, among others.
